Modest

When creating Modest, the artist Nele Serpieters did not have a defined plan. She let the sculpture grow by itself, assembling organic shapes and organising them in such a way that it works somewhat alienating. No matter what angle Modest is viewed from, it’s never what it seems and makes us reflect about shape and substance, beauty and decay.

A smooth bronze surface, flowing organic lines and a grey blue patina contribute to the sculpture’s mysterious and intriguing appearance.

Our bronze sculptures are cast using the lost wax method. Modest is a limited edition bronze sculpture, each piece is numbered and signed.
