Artist Sofia Speybrouck wanted to shape the unparallelled feeling of carrying a child – first inside the body, then in the arms, until it’s time to let go. Therefore, she created a touching bronze sculpture, accompanied by a poem:

A new life is growing.
From the outside, it’s easy to follow the miraculous development,
but only for the mother there are no secrets.
Only she feels every change, every movement, every stirring.
